First Day and Soccer Game

So many firsts around here. This is just a quick update as Tristan is pulling on me right now. Luke started preschool the other day and was so excited. When they arrived, Luke got out of the truck and told Blaine, "Now Dad, this is the part when you tell me to have a good day." He loved it! Soccer was so much fun to watch. I loved watching them collapse over anything. Luke loved it. He was smiling ear to ear the entire time.

Singing

The Winter of my Discontent

This is a very typical messy meal.

I couldn't find Tristan one day because he was inside Boo's dog igloo. He then invited Ben inside too.

Hanging with their friend Maddox.

I don't get it, but they love to wear one snow boot each.

These were some elk right behind our house one day.

Free shipping on the next two items!

I guess they love small spaces because they are always in Boo's kennel too! Look at Tristan just lounging :)

Sitting like big boys!

Super Bowl!

Tristan loves this pig. He bear hugs it and sleeps with it all night.

Not to be a negative Nelly but it has been one long winter. Hence, the lack of posts. We have had one sickness after another. The latest was Easter where Luke and I stayed home. We had the lamest egg hunt ever with Tristan as our star. I located all the other eggs at the end of the day. This winter also landed Tristan a 2 night stay at the hospital for rsv and pneumonia.

For the rest of the winter...it is a blur between sicknesses and catching up from their aftermath. Today I looked at the twins and noticed that they each had one sock, one had his pants on the other only a shirt (even though they were both dressed at some point) and I thought well it's like I have one whole boy dressed. That's a pretty typical day. Once I clean up one disaster they are making another.

They are climbing, running trying to say lots. They seem to play more with each other and having more fun. They hug each other and bring each other drinks and cookies. Sometimes Tristan sneaks a bite in the one he gives Ben though.

Luke is doing great! He has a great vocabulary and talks like such a little man. Today he said he was 'distracting' the baby. He also says things like, "Mom, I'm afraid I won't be able to..." He is swimming very well too. He puts his head under the water and dives down for things. At swimming he jumps off the diving board into the deep end with fearless determination.

Well. spring is just taking a while to start here. We had a little snow yet again today. Summer will come soon, but it seems far away. Next year, I am switching grades and buildings. I am excited, but quite sad to leave some very nice people and good friends. Anyway, maybe if the sicknesses cease, I can blog again.

For my mother

Action shot of Lukey
First haircut-Tristan

First haircut-Ben

Post-haircuts-they look like such big boys!

Pre-haircuts-hippy babies!

Spiderman! Don't tell anyone, but underneath is Pete Parker (shhhhhh).

Boo's new bed from Sant. He and the babies love it!

SO I had some issues with uploading today and there are some duplicate pictures. Mostly we have just been hanging out and surviving winter. All the boys had a haircut last week. For the babies, this was this first. This wonderful mom of one of my student's came to our house and did all three in one hour. Thank goodness!
Other than that we are just hanging out, fighting over who gets to sit in the cozy coup or wear the see through blue bucket.
